| General Description: | The Boston Aztecs enter their third season in the Women's Premier Soccer League (W.P.S.L.)with the goal of contending for a WPSL Championship. The Aztecs entered the WPSL in the summer of 2005 in the Northeast Conference and have participated in two successful seasons. The Boston Aztec team is composed of current and former collegiate players, current top high school players, international players, and former WUSA players. The Aztecs serve the northeast area of the state of Massachusetts and into the southern Maine and southern New Hampshire areas. The Aztecs serve as the highest level of soccer offered to female players looking to continue to play soccer at the highest levels possible in the US. Boston Aztec team is a branch of the Aztec Soccer Club. The Aztec Soccer Club is a full-scale developmental organization with programs for ages 2-19, Men's and Women's pro-caliber amateur teams and Coaching Education programs. We currently have 16 boys and girls premier youth teams. There are over 350 players that are developing their skills & fitness through the Aztec soccer program. The organization works hard to stay on the cutting edge of US Soccer, and we are constantly challenging ourselves to provide the highest level of training to our players. Aztec Soccer is the only North Eastern Massachusetts soccer organization that offers its players an opportunity to watch Amateur Premier soccer through its own organization. The Boston Aztec men play in the Premier Arena Soccer League (PASL) and are the back-to-back 2005 & 2006 New England Regional champions and in 2005 won the PASL National championship against Dallas in a match Nationally Televised on GOL TV. The Boston Lady Aztecs just finished their second season in the Women's Premier Soccer League (WPSL), the Number One-Ranked league in the country for women's soccer, finishing with a winning record and earning two draws against the eventual 2006 WPSL champion Long Island Fury. The Men's team also played a summer schedule for the first time in '06, and we look forward to expanding our Men's & Women's programs as a competitive spectator sports outlet on the North Shore. These teams also give our players a feeder system to the next level. Our players are able to watch high level soccer and bring it back home with them throughout the year. Our former collegiate, current high school, current collegiate, and ex-professional players are great role models for the local youth in the area. Aztec Soccer has 4 full-time staff members. These coaches together with the 26 part time coaches that work with the Aztec Soccer Club take pride in being one of the best soccer staffs in New England. Aztec Soccer works closely with local communities through camps and clinics. Aztec offers coaching education as a tool for local towns to help develop their youth coaches who in turn can implement different styles and techniques into sessions for their players. Aztec is looking to reach out to the local town soccer programs to help train and inspire both players and coaches to improve and develop a love of the game. For example, the North Andover and Swampscott Youth Soccer Oragizations have chosen Aztec to run coaching education for their coaches and to work with their youth program during the summer, fall and spring. This is very exciting for us. We look forward to working side by side with many town organizations like the North Andover Youth Soccer Association & the Swampscott Youth Soccer Association.
