Anne Marie Lauck began her international career in impressive fashion, winning the Gold Medal at the 1991 World University Games over 10000m.
She went on to represent the USA at two Olympics - the 1996 Atlanta Games, where she finished tenth place in the marathon, and the 2000 Sydney Games where she placed 11th in the first round of the 5000m.
It was in Olympic qualifying in 2000 that Anne Marie best demonstrated her great versatility, capturing third place in the marathon trial, fourth place in the 10000m trial and fifth place in the 5000m trial!
Injuries plagued her career, and Anne Marie is now retired. She is divorced and has reverted to her maiden name of Anne Marie Letko.
