2005: Andrae Townsel took over as the starting RT and never looked back, starting every game and becoming an All-MEAC honorable mention selection and Outstanding Buffalo Soldier Team. Howard University led the conference in rushing yards per game.

2006: Andrae Townsel started every game and became a leader after allowing only 1 sack, 43 pancake blocks, and 5 touchdown resulting blocks. In his final season of 2006, Andrae Townsel was once again named to the Outstanding Buffalo Soldier Team. Also, Andrae Townsel was selected to play in the 2006 American Heritage Bowl in New Orleans, Louisiana. Howard University again led the conference in rushing (3rd) and defeated #19 Delaware State on a very emotional Senior Day.

2007: Andrae Townsel recorded good pro-day numbers earning an invitation to Redskin Park. He also participated in the rookie mini-camp as an undrafted rookie free agent with the Washington Redskins.
