Katherine earned All-Conference and All-Tournament honors during her career with the Lady Rebels. Taju is a 2000 graduate of Institute Com. Bolivar in Panama. She played on the Panama National Team and was named Central American Player of the Year in 2001.

University of Arkansas at Monticello outside hitter Katherine Taju (Sr., Panama City, Panama) has been named Gulf South Conference-West Division Offensive Player of the Week for the week ending August 27.
Taju helped the Blossoms to a 3-1 record at the University of North Alabama Classic, as UAM picked up wins over Albany State, Alabama-Huntsville, and Texas-Permian Basin.
The senior averaged 5.07 kills per game, including a 24-kill effort in the season opener against Albany State. Taju finished the weekend strong as well, nailing 17 kills with a .364 hitting percentage against Texas-Permian Basin.
For the week, Taju tallied 71 kills and hit .295.
The Cotton Blossoms return to action on Friday, September 1, as they travel to Kingsville, Texas to participate in the Texas A&M-Kingsville Invitational.
Led by a 29-kill performance from Katherine Taju (Sr., Panama City, Panama), the University of Arkansas at Monticello Cotton Blossoms (16-14, 6-6 GSC) picked up a 3-1 victory over the Christian Brothers University Lady Buccaneers on Friday night at Steelman Fieldhouse. With the win, the Blossoms earn the fourth and final seed from the West Division for the Gulf South Conference Championship Tournament.
The GSC tournament will be held November 3-4 on the campus of the University of North Alabama, and the Blossoms will face host North Alabama in the opening round of the single-elimination tournament.
Taju notched her 500th kill of the season in the opening game.
The Blossoms picked up a 30-23 victory in the opening game, but the Lady Bucs tied the match at 1-1 with a 33-31 victory in game two. UAM outhit CBU .667 to .033 in game three en route to a 30-13 rout, and picked up a 30-24 victory in the fourth game to seal the match victory.
