Mustapha, a utility midfielder who plays as a central defender as well. He started playing football as an
amateur with a colt club called Noble Arics FC. He was the captain for his side when they participated in
the National Milo Amateur Colts tournament in 1995. His performance at this championship earned him a
scholarship to pursue his education at Aggrey Memorial Secondary School. He was then invited into the
National Academicals camp in the year 2000 as captain of the side before Liberty Professionals FC
signed him on as a professional in 2001. In 2002 he was invited into the senior national team, the Black
Stars, but got injured in an African Cup qualifying match against Benin which took him off the field for 3
months. In 2003, he captain Liberty Professionals FC to play in the CAF Cup tournament. That same year,
he was invited into the U20 and U23 of Ghana, and played in the qualifying matches for their various
tournaments, but unfortunately could not qualify. In 2004, he took part in the Ghana premier league as a
player and captain of Liberty Professionals FC before winning the club’s Best Player Award for the year
2004/2005 football season. He was then loan to Khatoco Khan Hoa FC of Vietnam in the latter part of
2006 after been scouted and recommended by a scout of Khatoca Khan Hoa FC. He have since reverted
back to Liberty Professionals FC after the loan period ended in June 2007, and he is seeking a new and
greater challenges out of Africa.
