General Description:

Previous Clubs: Inverness Caledonian Thistle, St Johnstone, Stoke, Dordrecht 90 (Holland)
Davide signed on at Almondvale just a fortnight shy of the transfer deadline from Inverness Caley Thistle. In doing so, he became the third player to move between the clubs inside ten months following the example of Barry Wilson and Mark McCulloch.

He was born in Vancouver, Canada - a city not particularly well known for its passion for football - but influenced by his Italian father, he soon developed an interest in the beautiful game. With an absence of professional football in Canada, he began his professional career as a 17 year old trialist under Bobby Robson at Sporting Lisbon and was offered a contract, but turned it down to return to North America and study finance at University of Portland. After a successful three years, during which he played for the University’s "soccer" team his attention returned to football.

Trying his luck in the UK, he had short spells with Stoke City and Port Vale before landing a deal with St Johnstone. He left the Perth club in January 1999 by buying out his contract and signed for Dutch side Dordrecht ’90, turning down an offer from Caley. However, he was to eventually sign for the Highlanders during the following close season. While with Caley, Davide enjoyed mixed fortunes against Livingston. He was ordered off on one visit to Almondvale, but made amends with a hat-trick in the next match between the sides at Caley Stadium.

Davide is a talented player and has been honoured by representing his country at U20, U21, U23, B and Full international levels. At the time of writing he has accrued 21 full international caps for Canada, scoring twice.

He has featured in a striking role so far with Livi, but is also a capable midfielder - versatility which should prove useful to the Lions’ management in the SPL In this first nine appearances he netted four times, including twice in a memorable win over former club Caley and a quite stunning free-kick from twenty yards against Airdrie

The Canadian International is one of the top players in the 1st Division and is already attracting interest from Premier League Clubs. He is very skillful and holds the ball up well. He is happy to play Centre Forward or Midfield. He played a big part in helping Canada win the Gold Cup in 2000 and has already featured over 20 times for the Canadian International team. A player who will score between 15 and 20 goals a season.

International Honours: 21 full International Caps. Gold Cup Winners 2000
